To avoid delays or possible forfeiture of your admission, please take note of the following important information:

On JAMB CAPS

• Ensure you have uploaded your O’Level results on the JAMB portal.
  Failure to do this may prevent you from seeing or accepting your admission.

   

On the FUHSI Portal

Many candidates have not been cleared for one or more of the following reasons:

1. They have not checked or accessed their admission status on the FUHSI portal.

    

2. They have accessed it but have not paid the acceptance fee.

    

3. They have paid the acceptance fee but not yet paid the medical fee or completed the process.

    

4. They did not upload their O’Level result PIN for verification.
   1. NECO - NECO E-verified results should be sent to academicaffairs@fuhsi.edu.ng
   2. WAEC - Upload your WAEC result checker PIN and Serial No.

       

5. They did not upload all required documents.

    

6. They uploaded unclear or unreadable documents.

    

If you fall into any of these categories, your clearance will be delayed until all required steps are completed.

🕒 You have a 48-hour window from the time of this notice to complete your clearance and regularize your admission.

FUHSI 2025/2026 Admission Screening Formula Explained

The Federal University of Health Sciences, Ila-Orangun (FUHSI) uses a combined score from both the UTME (JAMB) and the O’Level (WAEC/NECO) results to determine each candidate’s final Post-UTME Screening Aggregate.

Screening Components

• UTME (JAMB) Score — 80% weight
  
• O’Level (WAEC/NECO) Result — 20% weight

This means your UTME performance carries more weight, while your O’Level grades also contribute significantly to your final score.

Step 1: O’Level Grading System

Each of the five required subjects (English, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology) is scored using the following point system:

The total O’Level points = sum of your five subjects (maximum = 30 points).

Step 2: Formula for Screening Aggregate

Example Calculation

Candidate details:

• UTME Score: 273
  
• O’Level Results:
  Biology (B2), Chemistry (C5), English (C6), Mathematics (B2), Physics (C6)

O’Level Points = 5 + 2 + 1 + 5 + 1 = 14

Now applying the formula:

Final Screening Score = 63.93 / 100

Notes

• Only candidates who uploaded their O’Level results on the JAMB portal were included.
  
• Candidates should note that the screening score is not the same as departmental cutoff, but it determines your position in the merit ranking for admission.

The same formula applies to all UTME candidates for the 2025/2026 admission exercise.

Welcome Message from the Acting Director

It is my pleasure to extend a warm greeting to all prospective JUPEB candidates joining the Centre for External Affiliations and Sub-Degree Programmes of the Federal University of Health Sciences, Ila-Orangun (FUHSI).

Here, students will undergo a rigorous one-year academic training programme that culminates in an external examination. The Joint Universities Preliminary Examinations Board (JUPEB) is a national examination body authorized by the Federal Government of Nigeria in December 2013 and inaugurated in April 2014 by a consortium of ten universities led by the University of Lagos.

Today, over 120 institutions across Nigeria are affiliated with JUPEB. The Board is mandated to organize credible examinations for students who complete at least one year of accredited courses and are seeking Direct Entry admission into 200-level programmes of Nigerian and selected international universities.

At FUHSI, our Centre is privileged to have qualified academic staff and a dedicated administrative team to guide our students through the programme. The JUPEB subjects offered here include Biology, Chemistry, and Physics.

All identified hostels and houses have been verified for safety and convenience, and arrangements have been made to ensure that JUPEB candidates reside within the same vicinity to enable proper monitoring and coordination by the Centre.

⚠️ Candidates are strongly advised to secure accommodation only through the Centre for External Affiliations and Sub-Degree Programmes, to ensure authenticity and safety.
